My name is Guna Andersone and I am originally from Latvia, but love brought me to the Netherlands. As we all seek to find happiness and a sense of purpose in life, one day, I decided I wanted to achieve more for myself. I realized that my job was paying the bills, but yet was unfulfilling, and left my soul feeling empty. I had no dreams or goals, I was just getting by. I decided to change that. I started making jewelry and decided to sell it on the website Etsy. I formed my own shop, called GunaDesign, and realized I needed to take lots of photos of my creations. And that is when I happened to fall in love with Photography! I started learning as much as I could about photography and realized it was less about the concept, or reasoning behind the image, and more about the creation of the aesthetic value of the image, thus the birth of my Fine Art Photography. I don’t particularly have one style, the object of my images, the environment, and even my mood determines the final result. Here in Photography, I have found the best form of self expression. My works reflects who I am. I don’t profess to be a highly skilled photographer, I am a Fine Art Photographer, and I see the beauty in imperfect things as well as the perfect. Through photography I feel like I have found passion and my dream, and hope to continue sharing my creative works as a creative photographer.
My name is Mario Raats, born and raised Dutch. I started with photography in the 1980’s with an analog Praktica STL1000 camera. This learned me the basics of photography – the interaction between shutter time, aperture and ISO value. When video equipment became more affordable, I also started with this. But a few years ago we started to compete in photography. Being a technician I focus mainly on the technical side – getting the right configuration and equipment.
